Your home power bill got you pulling faces?

You are not alone - or without an affordable and environmentally friendly solution

Throughout Australia electricity is considered an essential service, yet increasingly the average Australian homeowner and business owner is left feeling like they need to win Powerball to cover the quarterly power bill.

This has become such a common issue that the Queensland Government has released a webpage entitled 'Tips to reduce your electricity bill.'

Anyone with access to the internet or even the local library can tell you that it isn't just the government offering handy hints. Typically, most suggestions require time consuming and often impractical lifestyle changes. Moreover, these changes rarely make a substantial difference to your power bill.

At the end of the day (queue lights, television, oven and washing machine), the installation of solar panels is the most effective and effortless means of securing a permanent reduction in power costs. The use of solar energy within your home or business will save you between 50% - 80% on your power bill. These figures are game changers in terms of managing your power bill both short and long term.  The financial benefits of solar are not a potential, they are a certainty.

In addition to dramatically decreasing your power bill, the installation process also comes with a sweet deal. Currently, the government is offering a $7000 rebate for the installation of solar panels. This amount is decreasing yearly. By 2030, the option for rebate will be removed and so the time to buy solar is now.

Solar does not have a catch. There is no fine print tied up in the massive savings these panels offer. In fact, there is more to solar than money. The use of solar energy, or clean energy eliminates the direct emission of greenhouse gas. This is because the electricity is generated through harnessing power from the sun rather than by burning fossil fuels. Sunlight is a renewable energy source and so solar power is forever. There is no reason not to by into this eternal money saver.
